Parathas
are my favourite. Bengalis like to make their typical simple triangle shaped
parathas. Then there is the square shaped paratha. The round ones are there and
not much to speak about Laccha Parathas which are occasional and special.

Kala Chana Fry – Masaledar Kala Chana…
This dish
is really simple, but tastes great. Many people write off Kala Chana, but it is
so nutritious. With so many nutritious values under its dark skin, this kala
chana can be very tasty when cooked and served with some simple spices.
To make
Kala Chana Fry, (a simple
secret worth a mention, no great hurdle, no great burden, not very time
consuming in preparing) first the ingredients –Saturday, May 28, 2016
Papdi Chaat – Easy to relate to Indian Street Food
Think of
Chaat, the mouth starts salivating.
The very
word ‘Chaat’ brings to the mind the taste of sweet, sour, spicy, sharp, strong,
crunchy, munchy, and all tastes put together to create a good tasty plateful.Tuesday, April 19, 2016
Kochuri and Simple Aloo Torkari/Kachauri and Aloo Sabzi – Sunday Special Breakfast
Sunday
starts late. After all this day brings the thought…relax, enjoy your time, spend
time with family and outings too come the way…that’s what Sunday brings with
it.
The
weekdays have their own busy schedule stamped in the daily routine and when
Sunday comes there is sunshine on the faces.A late breakfast stands and stares as we, at home, sit to gobble it up…more so as it looks great and delicious…for this is not the regular EvErYdAy (everyday) breakfast.
But who is responsible for this lovely breakfast.

Fish ball Curry – Fish balls Topped-up with Thick Gravy
It is
said, “Every day is not Sunday”. Who said it and why, subject does not come in
for debate for there is no debate at all on this topic. To make it easier, I
can only say, same food does not interest the taste and appetite every day.
